This is a short segment of a multimillion dollar
multimedia training course that teaches Well Control procedures that meet
MMS standards. The 40 hour course contains over 500 video files,
more than 6000 audio files, more than, 6000 images, scores of animations,
several thousand questions that are tied to specific skills that are
designated by several regulatory agencies.
This project was produced for Well Control School of
New Orleans. The course grosses well over $1M per year.
Steve Salis was the Curriculum designer,
instructional designer, project manager, Head writer, media and graphics

OFF-SHORE CRANE OPERATOR TRAINING
This is a short video segment of the Off-Shore Crane
Simulator. After completing 6 training modules and passing a written
CBT based test, this simulator becomes available to the student.
It functions much like a simple flight simulator. It's feel is
remarkably realistic thanks in part to a sophisticated physics engine.
It is controlled via the keyboard or the optional 4
joystick console.
Students are asked to complete the several lifts
that are required by the US Govt. in order to be certified as an Off-Shore
Crane Operator. |

This 10 minute video documents the Highline
Trail (elev. 6680 ft) in Glacier National Park. The trip begins at
the Logan Pass Trailhead and heads to Granite Park. Before Granite
Park we hike to the Grinnell Glacier Overlook (elev. 8000+ ft).
After a brief rest at Granite Park we head down the Swift Current valley to
Many Glacier (4900 ft). Total length about 15.2 miles.
